The Porcelain Veneers Process in White Plains

Porcelain veneers are a quick and minimally invasive way to correct a number of common cosmetic dental problems. White Plains cosmetic dentist Dr. Wanda Mejia can use porcelain veneers to correct minor malocclusion such as gaps or crooked presentation, as well as to perfect teeth that are cracked or chipped, unevenly sized or shaped, or even severely discolored underneath the enamel. During your White Plains cosmetic dentistry consultation Dr. Mejia can discuss how veneers may be used to enhance and beautify your smile in more detail.

For more information about porcelain veneers in the White Plains area of New York, please contact Advanced Dentistry of Tarrytown or call 914-332-4402 today to schedule a consultation with our experienced cosmetic dentist.

Planning and Placing Your Veneers

Following your initial cosmetic dentistry consultation, the process for placing porcelain veneers requires two visits to our Tarrytown office.

During your first visit, Dr. Mejia will:

  • Prepare your teeth by removing a small amount of tooth enamel
  • Make an impression of your smile for our dental lab partners
  • Fit you with temporary veneers

Your custom porcelain veneers will be made in a dental lab where they will be shaped, sized, and colored to fit seamlessly into your smile. Once they have been made and sent to our office, you will return to have them placed. Once placed, if you care your veneers properly, they can continue to produce pleasing results for a number of years.

To learn how porcelain veneers can improve your smile, please contact our experienced White Plains cosmetic dentist today.
